Managing Menus

Menus is where you create and manage each digital menu. Every menu has its own public URL and QR code.

Creating a menu

  1. Go to MenusAdd Menu.
  2. Fill in:
    • Name (required)
    • Menu Type (required) — drives the sample data, category, and tag suggestions
    • Slug (optional) — auto-generated from the name if left blank
    • Description (optional)
    • Active toggle
  3. Click Create.

About slugs

The slug is the public address of your menu:

scan.anymenu.in/{slug}
  • Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only.
  • Slugs are globally unique across all AnyMenu businesses. If taken, you get a SLUG_TAKEN error and must choose another.
  • Availability is checked live while you type.

WARNING

Changing a slug breaks any printed QR code pointing at the old address. Reprint your QR codes after a slug change.

The free plan allows 1 menu. Once the limit is reached, Add Menu is disabled and a licence prompt card appears. Contact admin@anymenu.in for more menu licences.

The menu card

Each menu card shows a QR preview, active/inactive badge, public URL, description, and item count, plus four actions:

ActionWhat it does
DetailsOpens the menu detail tabs
Palette iconJumps straight to the Customize tab
QRDownloads a PNG QR code in Small (128px), Medium (256px), or Large (512px)
External linkOpens the live public menu in a new tab

Opening a menu gives you seven tabs:

TabContents
DetailsContact person, contact phone, image gallery (up to 6 images)
CustomizeTheme, accent colour, logo, header display
PaymentPayment QR, UPI ID, UPI number shown after ordering
CategoriesTop-level categories
Sub-CategoriesSecond-level categories under a parent
TagsMenu tags
SettingsOrdering, display toggles, custom domain

Editing and deleting

Use Edit in the menu detail header to change name, type, slug, description, and active status. Delete removes the menu permanently.

DANGER

Deleting a menu is permanent. Its public URL stops working immediately.

Active vs inactive

An inactive menu is not served publicly. Use this to take a menu offline temporarily without deleting it.
