Add Sample Data

Populates a menu with sample categories, sub-categories, tags, and up to 10 items matching a menu type.

1. Select the menu.
2. Select the sample data type — defaults to the menu's own type, but you can import another type's data instead.
3. Click Add Sample Data.

Existing data is not removed; sample records are added on top.

Import Menus

Bulk-import items from a CSV.

Expected columns:

Item Name, Description, Price, Category, Sub-Category,
Dietary Preference, Tags, Menu Visibility, Availability

• Download the sample CSV from the import dialog to get the exact format.
• After upload you land on a mapping screen where each row is validated. Unmatched categories, sub-categories, tags, and menus are flagged as errors.
• Fix mappings inline using the dropdowns, then run the import.
• Rows with remaining errors are skipped, not imported.
• Import History keeps a log with a Review dialog listing imported and skipped item names.

Accepted values:

• Dietary Preference: Vegetarian, Non-Vegetarian, or blank / anything else for not applicable
• Availability: true, yes, 1, or available mean available

Import Images

A four-step wizard for bulk item photos.

1. Select Menu
2. Filter & Select items by category, sub-category, and tags, then tick the ones to update
3. Upload & Map — drop in your image files; AnyMenu auto-matches filenames to item names by word overlap, and you can correct or skip any row
4. Import — uploads run one by one with per-row success or error status

TIP

Name your image files after the item, e.g. butter-chicken.jpg, to maximise automatic matching.

Find Duplicates

Scans all items and groups those with identical names.

For each group, click Keep on the item you want to retain. Every other item in that group is automatically marked Delete. Then click Delete N items.

DANGER

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Export Data

Downloads all items as CSV with the same column set as the import format, with category, sub-category, tag, and menu names resolved to readable text. File is named items-export-{date}.csv.

Bulk Delete

Filter items by category, sub-category, and search term, tick the rows to remove, then delete. Selected rows are highlighted in red and a warning banner shows the count.

Download Menu

Generates a printable A4 menu.

Options:

• Menu and optional title override
• Design: Classic (single column with dotted leaders), Modern (two-column cards with photos), Elegant (centred serif with thumbnails), Minimal (compact text only)
• Accent colour — eight presets plus a custom colour picker
• Include: item photos, prices, descriptions

Only available items are printed. Opens in a new tab; use the browser's Print → Save as PDF to download.

Merge Categories

Merges categories or sub-categories together, moving their items into the target.

Move Items

Moves items in bulk between categories and sub-categories.
